One Thursday morning a customer was in urgent need of a 10KVA and 30KVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS System). The urgency was due to another UPS supplier failing to meet the required delivery deadline, so the contractor telephoned Cetronic for help.
A water treatment works in Derbyshire which supplies drinking water to Derby, Leicester and Nottingham contacted Cetronic on a Thursday morning requesting an AMP 10X-33 with 32 minutes battery back-up and an AMP 30-33 with 8 minutes battery back-up. These power protection systems needed to be delivered to site the next day and commissioned on the Saturday.
We had to move pretty quickly to ensure we could get the order ready, ahead of the collection cut-off time. We started by removing the UPS's from stock and installing the batteries into the UPS systems.
We were in constant contact with the customer, updating them on the progress of the build. Mid-afternoon, the order was built and ready to be shipped. The units were delivered to site by mid-morning Friday, where they were offloaded and positioned.
